Your First Appointment

Our patients are the most important people in our practice, and we have their best interests at heart.

When you feel ready to book an appointment, book online, call us on 01642 490673 or just pop in to the practice. Our friendly reception team will be happy to book you in for a consultation.

As a new patient, you will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire [link to this questionnaire] so that your dentist understands your health history before meeting you. It is important to bring a list of any medication you are taking with you. This will be routinely reviewed to make sure we stay informed.

At your first appointment, your dentist will chat to you to find out about your oral health routine and your wants, needs and concerns. At the dental examination, we will:

  • Give you a thorough examination of your teeth and gums and your general oral health

  • Take any necessary x-rays

  • Screen for oral cancer

  • Give you time to talk about any concerns you may have

  • Talk to you about preventative techniques to improve your oral health and refer you to the hygienist if required

  • If any treatment is needed, we will discuss your options and give you a written treatment plan and an estimate of potential costs

As well as offering general dental treatment and helping you to understand how to improve the health of your mouth, we also understand that a healthy, attractive smile helps promote and sustain your sense of inner well-being and happiness. For this reason, our cosmetic treatments are designed to make you love your smile.

Once you have the smile you always wanted, we will help you to keep it that way with ongoing care from our dentists, hygienist and clinical support team – you will come to know us well!

We very much look forward to hearing from you soon.
